BRIEF HISTORY : ARIT:

Assam Rifles Institute of Technology (ARIT) has been established at No 2 Wksp AR, Silchar and was inaugurated by Maj Gen Gurdeep Singh, VSM, ADGAR on 03 Oct 08. The aim of raising the ARIT is to train AR EME Tradesmen in the Assam Rifles because Army is not in position to release adequate vacancy for AR EME tradesmen as per our demand which resulted a no of pers are missing out a upgradation classes and promotion. To conduct upgradation classes for other EME tradesmen has been planned to fulfil their lacking classes. The first batch of VM Class II has been started wef 03 Oct 08n and the upgradation classes for other EME tradesmen will be conducted smoothly only on acquiring of basic infrastructure. Efforts are on to complete the basic infrastructure. Schedule will be upgraded from time to time.
